Utilities

All water and sewer utilities are lienable accounts that go with the home and NOT the tenant. As a result of this, water and sewer companies need to have permission from the landlord to have bills sent to tenant. Owners/landords can contact utility companies to ask for “duplicate statements” sent to tenant. A copy will be sent to tenant and one sent to landlord or agent if authorized.
